Tapioca, a good source of energy and easy to digest when consumed in moderation, emerged as a go-to grain substitute during fasts like Navratri and Ekadashi, in Maharashtra and Gujarat. Over time, homemakers turned it into papads, a crispy companion, that we all love now.

Heat oil on medium flame in a kadhai. Put the papad in hot oil and fry on both sides until puffed up. Remove extra oil and sprinkle our seasoning on top.

Crush papad over khichdi, curd-rice, chaat, soup (and whatever else you can think of!)
